Complete a community needs assessment for LGBTQ+ youth in San Diego, CA. The unmet need is that LGBTQ youth are at risk of being homeless as a result of being rejected by their family. As a result, many LGBTQ individuals end up on the street without resources and are at risk of being exploited. The suggested service/intervention to address the unmet need would be shelters that are specific and limited to LGBTQ youth and are not exactly constrained to a time period. LGBTQ competent services would be provided by mentors, case managers and therapists.
